Job Responsibilities
- Assemble GIS gas tanks and associated mechanical components according to approved engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Install flanges, covers, bushings, supports, gaskets, seals and internal mechanical components.
- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, lifting equipment and assembly fixtures during production activities.
- Verify component identification and material conformity before assembly.
- Ensure sealing surfaces are free from defects, contamination, scratches and damage.
- Follow occupational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures at all times.
- Implement emergency response procedures during emergency situations.
- Regularly inspect tools and checkpoints to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Complete all production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain records related to ongoing production activities and project completion.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the same role within the Switchgear industry.
- Experience in GIS Manufacturing will be highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Good knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting techniques.
- Basic knowledge of GIS products and High Voltage equipment will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a production team.
Working Conditions
- Production Shop Floor Environment.
- Medium Risk working environment requiring compliance with HSE standards.
