Service Technician_lifeboat Qatar

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 To support in inspection, servicing, testing and certification of lifeboat, rescue boats and davits both at onshore and offshore.
 Should go for overseas service calls as and when necessary. This may include working in our branch at Bahrain, Saudi Arabia,
 Oman and Qatar.
 Should be able to write inspection report and work done reports after the completion of job.
 Familiarize with the applicable rules to effectively communicate with Class, Owners and Shipyards for carrying out
servicing and testing of lifeboats a davit.
 Having an understanding of scope related to fitting, basic fabrication
 Should be willing to undergo necessary training at the manufacturers to qualify for servicing lifeboats and davits.
 Perform other functions in the lifeboat dept. such as pick & delivery of lifeboats, arranging cranes, trailers and custom clearance
etc.
 Comply with any additional jobs as and when it comes
Accountabilities
 Implementation of QHSE MS practices
 Delivery of high quality standard product and service
 On-site training of new Service Techs
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
 Five years minimum experience as a support technician in any mechanical firm
 Higher Diploma is mandatory
 Knowledge of LSA code, Solas Regulation
 Familiar with all LSA work procedures
 In-Depth Experience with LSA servicing
 Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers
 Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
 Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary
customer service
 Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices.
