Service Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Servicing the lifeboats and its launching appliances both on and off site in marine and offshore related
environments which includes annual, 5 yearly and overhaul on Lifeboats, rescue boats, launching appliances and
release gears.
Installation supervision and commissioning of Lifeboats/Launching appliances.
Preparation of service reports, downloading service reports and uploading the same to get the certificates from
different Maker’s web portal immediately upon the completion of work.
Identification of additional work or material requirements prior to the commencement of job liaising with stores/
Spare coordinator.
Assisting the After Sales & Lifeboat Department in locating/researching original data and build specifications
Assistance with workshop related activities and on-site product refurbishment.
Providing technical experience and information to our client whenever required.
Availability to work in any location at all times.
To build strong relationship with our Local and International customers there by providing timely and quality service.
To carry out load testing using water bags for lifeboats and its launching appliances using available Service
technicians.
Responsibility for the maintenance of your work area and tools.
Contribute in ensuring a safe working environment.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Accountabilities
Implementation of QHSE MS practices
Delivery of high quality standard product and service
On-site training of new Service Engineers/Service Techs
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
B. Engineering/or Higher Diploma
Knowledge of LSA code, Solas Regulation
Familiar with all LSA work procedures
In-Depth Experience with LSA servicing (Must have been certified by different manufacturers)
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary
customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices
