Job Description: HVAC/ Refrigeration and Cold Rooms Technician

Job Overview:
The HVAC and Cold Rooms Technician `role is critical in maintaining the optimal functioning of our
heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, especially those in our cold storage
areas. The technician will ensure that all our restaurant locations maintain a comfortable environment
for our customers and staff, and that our food products are stored under the best conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation of HVAC and Refrigeration Systems: Efficiently install new HVAC systems and cold room
units across various restaurant locations.
2. Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks on HVAC and refrigeration systems to
ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
3. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Quickly diagnose and fix issues with HVAC systems and cold rooms,
minimizing operational disruptions.
4. Temperature Control Management: Monitor and adjust the temperature settings in dining areas and
cold storage rooms to ensure comfort and proper food storage conditions.
5. Compliance with Health and Safety Standards: Ensure all installations and maintenance activities
comply with relevant health and safety standards, particularly those related to the food service industry.
6. Emergency Services: Provide prompt response to HVAC and refrigeration emergencies in any of the
restaurant locations.
7. Record Keeping and Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and
replacements for all equipment.
8. Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-efficient practices to optimize the performance of HVAC and
refrigeration systems and reduce operating costs.
9. Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for repairs and
maintenance.
10. Customer Service: Work closely with restaurant staff and management to address any HVAC or
refrigeration concerns.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician with specialization in refrigeration systems, ideally in a
restaurant or food service environment.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC and refrigeration.

- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and cold room refrigeration units.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work across multiple locations and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with restaurant staff and management.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in different environmental conditions.

Physical Requirements:
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in
tight spaces.
- Comfortable working in cold environments and various weather conditions.

This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant chain's HVAC and refrigeration
systems, contributing significantly to the comfort of our guests and the quality of our food products.
