Position: Alloy Wheel Repair Technician

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Responsible for carrying out repairs on the vehicle wheels. Repairs include standard silver wheels, full colour change, cosmetic diamond cut repairs and special effect finishes.

-Ability to carry out repairs to a high level of quality in set timescales.

-Should have an understanding of what alloy wheel repair shops do.

• Knowledge of using a diamond cutting lathe machine to repair diamond cut wheels.
• Knowledge of removing and reinstalling the tyre.
• Knowledge of using chemical stripping of original paint in an acid bath.
• Knowledge of masking and sanding the wheels to prepare for paint.
• Knowledge of using sand blasting equipment.
• Knowledge of power coating (Preferred)
• Knowledge of doing smart repairs on wheels.
