FRP Technician Fiber Reinforced Polymer

Qualifications:
 Diploma or equivalent
 Experience in the Marine field is an advantage
 Knowledge of Life Boats, Rescue Boats, and Davits
 Good English communication
Age between 22-35 years old

Work Scope / Job Responsibilities:
 The removal of the parts and determining the appropriate technique to repair the damage.
 The removal of debris from the parts surface-file, grind, and sand surfaces.
 Fill cavities and voids, buckles, and defects in order to create a smooth and even surface.
 Mask or tape-off details and components to avoid contamination.
 Responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to lifeboat surfaces, completing touchups, and coordinating
large painting lifeboat projects with the painter.
 Scrape, sandpaper, and prime the surfaces prior to painting.
 To carry out Fiberglass repair in the lifeboat as per the repair procedure in the QMS manual.
 To provide quality repair work for lifeboats thereby maintaining our standards and ensuring customer satisfaction
for all jobs executed.
 Identification of additional work or material requirements prior to carrying out repair work and ensuring sufficient
stock is available at all times.
 Responsibility for the maintenance of your work area and tools.
 Assistance with workshop-related activities and on-site product refurbishment.
 Availability to work in any location at all times
 Contribute to ensuring a safe working environment.
 Lifeboat Servicing both on and off-site in marine and offshore related environments whenever required and
instructed by immediate superior.
 Work as a team with the lifeboat department.
 Any additional jobs as instructed by Execution Head.
 Must be conversant with the Quality/HSE systems & Procedures
 Perform other special tasks as assigned/instructed by the Dept. in charge and the Division Manager.
